Reimagining a Lawndale Condo for California Coastal Living

Project Overview

This 3-bed, 3-bath condo on Marine Ave in Lawndale boasted an enviable location just blocks from the beach. However, the outdated interior lacked the open flow and finishes the homeowner envisioned to capitalize on the seaside lifestyle. They selected our team at econstruct to remodel the space to better suit coastal living.

We collaborated to completely reconfigure the floorplan for a brighter, more functional layout. By removing walls and enlarging doorways, we integrated the living spaces while adding private separation where desired. We also expanded the kitchen and added a bonus room.

Throughout the home, dated elements made way for contemporary finishes. Porcelain plank tile, quartz countertops, contemporary light fixtures, and frosted glass doors lend an airy, beachy aesthetic. The new spa-inspired bathroom provides a personal oasis.

The reimagined kitchen feels larger through a peninsula with bar-height seating. Premium stainless steel appliances and a custom tile backsplash elevate the space. Pocket doors open the kitchen to the dining area and ocean breezes beyond.

Our team remodeled the private balcony to feel like an extension of the home, adding new flooring, railings, lighting, and a sectional around a firepit. The completed condo exemplifies indoor-outdoor living.
