Revitalizing a Mulholland Drive Gem for Modern Living

Project Overview

Perched on Mulholland Drive, this 1970s home boasted stunning vistas yet felt dated and disconnected from its prized location. Our clients purchased the property with plans to remodel and reconfigure the space to better embrace indoor-outdoor California living. They selected our team at econstruct based on our expertise with luxury remodels.

Our collaborative design process opened up and modernized the floorplan by removing partitions to capitalize on the panoramic views. We also added new decking and replaced walls of glass to erase boundaries between inside and outside.

Throughout the home, we implemented contemporary finishes like wide plank flooring, coastal-inspired tile, and matte black hardware and fixtures. The revitalized open concept kitchen features a massive quartz island and top-of-the-line appliances. A spa-like master suite provides a relaxing oasis.

Outdoors, we resurfaced the pool and deck, constructed a covered patio living area, and added a barbecue kitchen. New drought-tolerant, low-maintenance landscaping reduced water usage while enhancing curb appeal.
