At econstruct, we thrive on turning challenges into opportunities. We recognized that traditional staircases would disrupt the property’s aesthetic flow and require significant excavation, not to mention exorbitant costs. Instead, our team of expert engineers and designers crafted an innovative solution – a custom Hillside Lift system.

1. Seamless Integration: We engineered and designed a foundation with pylons, and a new reinforced concrete landing at the top of the slope, then meticulously installed a compact Hillside Lift with a generous 950-pound capacity. The lift’s doors and cab were meticulously customized to mirror the home’s modern materials and finishes, ensuring a harmonious blend.
2. Elevating Access, Preserving Beauty: Creative design ensured the lift’s upper landing aligned flawlessly with the existing exterior floor level hillside terrain at the bottom of the house. To prioritize safety, we incorporated multiple redundant fail-safe systems, exceeding county codes while maintaining the lift’s sleek design. Importantly, we build an extensive deck at the base of the home with a steel staircase from the new deck to the landing at the lift, ensuring easy usability.
3. Future-Ready: The lift not only provides effortless access to the previously unused area but also opens up endless possibilities for the future. The homeowners can now consider building an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU), a tennis court, a swimming pool with a pool house, or any other amenity their hearts desire.
